Psychology: an experimental and control group for phobias?

okay so i am doing an ap psychology project. the directions say to set up my experiment "being careful to account for a control group and experimental group" my topic is spider phobias and i have no idea what would go in the experimental group and the control group since i am not treating anything. any ideas?|||Maybe the control group could be exposed to fake/plastic spiders and the exp. group to real spiders.
