Starcraft 2 - How to delete a control group?

I can't remember for the life of me how to delete a control group in Starcraft 2, for grouping units. My Google Fu is turning up nothing but articles on how to create a Control group, but nothing on how to delete them. How can I delete a control group?|||I don't think SC ever came with a function for deleting control groups. The simplest solution would be to reassign the group to a single unit and have the unit die. If you don't want to waste the cost of killing one of your own marines, assign to a temporary unit or structure, like the MULE or a Raven's deployed turret. When the unit runs out of time, the control group will be empty and null.





In competitive play, this sort of thing isn't worth bothering about and you should just keep track of the control groups you care about.
