What is the difference between a normal control group and a clinical control group?

i'm doing a formal paper and inside of the source it has 3 different control groups, one with ADHD, a normal control group and a clinical control group. i have no clue what the difference is....|||From the information you have outlined I would assume that the normal control group is those without any psychological impairment. The clinical control group would be those referred for clinical assistance for disorders other than ADHD.

This is often done in studies on ADHD and other studies that have high levels of comorbidity with other disorders, it is a way of ensuring that any findings are not due to the existence of other common disorders such as learning disabilities etc.
